Marching Band

Mr. Bueter is a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana and a 1984 graduate of Bishop Dwenger High School. Mr. Bueter earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Instrumental Music Education in 1992 from Indiana University at Fort Wayne. In 2004, Mr. Bueter earned a Masters Degree in Music Technology from Indiana University in Indianapolis.  His first three and a half years of experience were spent as a substitute teacher for Fort Wayne Community Schools and Southwest Allen County Schools. He then spent the next two years as the Director of Bands for the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation. Currently, Mr. Bueter is in his twenty sixth year as the Director of Bands for the Bluffton-Harrison Metropolitan School District. In addition to teaching in public schools, Mr. Bueter is preparing for a second European tour as a staff member for the Indiana Ambassadors of Music and has a part time career as a charter bus driver. Mr. Bueter resides in Bluffton, Indiana with his wife Kierstin and three children, Nathan, Nick and Sarah.

Bruce Schneider is a 1982 graduate of Northrop High School and a 1988 graduate of Indiana University-Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music.  Bruce studied percussion with Ray Weiner, Nick Stamanis, Neal Graham, and Earl Yowell.  He is a former member of the Pride of Cincinnati Drum and Bugle Crops and the Royal Lancer’s Senior Drum and Bugle Corps.   Bruce’s past teaching experiences includes serving as percussion instructor and arranger for Tippecanoe Valley High School, Bishop Dwenger High School, New Haven High School, Snider High School, and Fort Wayne North Side High School.  Bruce currently serves as percussion director and arranger for Bluffton High School and Fort Wayne Northrop High School.   Bruce recently accepted the position of adjunct percussion instructor for Manchester University.  Bruce is employed by Fort Wayne Community Schools as the “b Instrumental & K-12 Instrumental Music Coordinator.  Bruce is married to Dawn and they have five children, Brandi, Heather, Casey, Andrew, Hailey, and four grandchildren Kherington, Annabelle, Alina and Finley.    

 

Scott Shoup graduated from Bluffton High School in 1987.  He started
working with the Bengal Brigade in 1989, while a student at Ball State.
After graduating from Ball State in 1991, he was hired at Summit Middle
School in Southwest Allen County Schools and is currently starting his
29th year as a social studies teacher.   His experience includes being the
assistant director at Bluffton from 1997-2013 and Norwell from 2015-2016
for marching band, serving as director for Norwell Winter Percussion,
working with winter percussion groups at Bluffton and Jay County, as well
as working visual for the Jay County Marching Patriots from 2014-2021.
